A rough Caribbean night gave way to a surprisingly quiet morning on the Celebrity Xcel – Cozumel, where empty piers set the stage for a memorable day ashore. From shopping in colorful San Miguel de Cozumel to learning about sacred stingless bees at the Mayan Bee Sanctuary, tasting traditional cacao, and ending with tequila (and street tacos), our first visit to the island turned into a laid-back cultural sampler rather than a beach day. Back onboard Celebrity Xcel, great food, standout entertainment, mixology class cocktails, and a few smart splurges rounded out a cruise day that blended discovery, indulgence, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
