What have we been up to? We are back from a 7-night sailing aboard the brand new Celebrity Xcel! Our journey started in Barcelona and took us to Malta, Turkey, and the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini, before ending in Athens. During our one day in Barcelona on no sleep, we ate all the things, from Jamón Ibérico to fresh seafood. After boarding the ship, we visited three countries that were completely new to us. We got the classic Instagram selfie with the blue-domed churches in Santorini, saw ancient ruins, and even got pooped on by a bird in Mykonos—which they say is good luck!

A wedding and more Disney? If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noticed we flew to Southern California for our son’s wedding, and Disney nuts that we are, also made our first visit to Disney Land, staying in the Villas at Disney Land Hotel, and saw and did a bunch of other stuff. The wedding was amazing and so were all our daughter-in-law’s family and friends. We’ll get some trip reports out on Disney and more.
What’s next? Well, we apparently blacked out and booked another cruise, this one aboard Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady in October sailing round trip from NYC to Bermuda. And in early December, we’ll be back to the Disney Vacation Club resort at Hilton Head Island, SC.
