What have we been up to? We are back from a 7-night sailing aboard the brand new Celebrity Xcel from Barcelona, with stops in Malta, Turkey, as well as the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini, before ending in Athens. During one day in Barcelona on no sleep, we ate all the things, from Jamón Ibérico to seafood, then boarded the Xcel and visited three countries that were new to us, got the Instagram selfie in Santorini with the blue-domed churches, saw seriously ancient ruins in Turkey and Greece, and got pooped on by a bird in Mykonos, which they say is good luck. If you follow us on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noticed we flew to Southern California for our son’s wedding, and Disney nuts that we are, also made our first visit to Disney Land, staying in the Villas at Disney Land Hotel, and saw and did a bunch of other stuff. We’ll get some trip reports out on this.
What’s next? Well, we apparently blacked out and booked another cruise, this one aboard Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady in October sailing round trip from NYC to Bermuda. And in early December, we’ll be back to the Disney Vacation Club resort at Hilton Head Island, SC.
