What have we been up to? It’s been a quiet few months of inactivity since the Celebrity Xcel preview sailing in November. Jay had a health scare over the winter, but all is good now and we’ve begun the countdown to our next trip!
What’s next? In April, we’ll stay one night at Bay Lake Tower in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, before boarding the Disney Wish for a recuperative 4-night sailing from Port Canaveral, stopping only at Disney’s Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. This will be our third sailing with Disney, and the first one not on the Disney Magic. Back in October, 2022 we sailed on the Magic from NYC to Bermuda with Rachel joining us to experience Halloween on the High Seas. She’s back with us again this time as we try out a Deluxe Family Oceanview stateroom.
In June, we will get back on board the Celebrity Xcel for a 7-night sailing, this time from Barcelona, with stops in Malta, Turkey, as well as the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini, before ending in Athens. We are super excited about this one as we straight-up booked a Sky Suite rather than trying the Celebrity Move Up program liked we did last April on the Apex. We also can’t wait to sample more of our favorite foods in Barcelona before boarding!
Over the summer, we’ll head to Southern California for Scott & Veronica’s wedding. Disney nuts that we are, we’ll also make our first visit to Disney Land and whatever else we can fit in. And in early December, we’ll be back to the Disney Vacation Club resort at Hilton Head Island, SC.
